GATEWAY RESORT LTD: GLAMPING PODS – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated September 2021

DEPOSITS

On arrival we will ‘hold’ debit card details for an amount of £200. This amount will not leave your account but will be held for the duration of your stay. Your card details will be destroyed on your departure, provided the pod is left in a clean and tidy state with no damages and no additional cleaning required. Where a card hold is not possible we will require a cash deposit of the same amount under the same terms & conditions. There will also be a £10 cash deposit per key for the glamping pod (maximum of 2 keys available), which will be refunded to you when you hand the key(s) back to Reception on your departure.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURES

Check-in time for our glamping pods is from 3pm onwards with check-out any time before 10am.

IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

We require evidence of identity and address details for all guests aged 18 and over. An item of photographic identification (valid driving licence or passport) needs to be provided for proof of identity on arrival. You and members of your party who are 18 or over may be required to provide photographic identification (valid driving licence or passport) at any time during your stay. Failure to provide identification may result in termination of your holiday and you being refused entry to the park or being asked to leave, without refund.

DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES

Please note any damage to site facilities or to our glamping pods, including when a glamping pod is left in an unsatisfactory state, will incur additional charges. Any charges incurred will be deducted from the deposit paid. Guests are NOT permitted to remove any of the glamping pod’s provided furniture and extras. Please ensure you leave your glamping pod in a clean and tidy state on departure. Please report any breakages to Reception.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

Our current Glamping Pods sleep a maximum of 4 people, including any infants or babies. We cannot accept any more than four bodies inside each Pod due to Health & Safety, Fire & Insurance Regulations.

Smoking of vaporisers, e-cigarettes or tobacco is not permitted inside our glamping pods. Smoking is allowed outside the front of the pod, away from the door. Pets are not permitted in our glamping pods.

BBQS

A charcoal BBQ is provided for your use outside the glamping pod. Charcoal is not provided but is available to purchase from our onsite shop. BBQs must be kept a safe distance away from the pod and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Any personal items left behind in our glamping pods must be claimed within two weeks of departure. If relevant, postage and packing charges for the return of goods will apply.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Our park is used primarily by families and we would ask that the behaviour of you and your party reflects this fact. Noisy, offensive or inappropriate behaviour, or actions likely to cause harm to any other guest, members of our team, or anyone’s property at the holiday park, will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse entry to and/or evict any person who, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the park, does not comply with these standards of behaviour. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances. If, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the park, we believe that you, or a member of your party, may not comply with the above, we reserve the right to refuse entry. All children must be properly supervised by parents or guardians throughout your stay, including at all park organised activities. We reserve the right to deny access to our facilities and/or any children’s activities if, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the park, we believe that any child or children will be unduly disruptive. You are responsible for any guests on site with you and any anti-social behaviour they cause. Please keep noise levels to a minimum after 10pm. We expect all our guests to respect our site, our team and fellow guests.

PARKING/VEHICLES

There is room for one vehicle to park outside each glamping pod. Any additional vehicles must be left in our main car park (free of charge). Please note we do not allow commercial, sign-written vehicles or window-less vans on site. These can however be left in our main car park. Guests must comply to all speed limits on site. All vehicles are brought onto the park at their owner’s risk, and we do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to these vehicles, except where it is caused by our negligence or fault.

LIABILITY
We take all reasonable steps to safeguard our premises and hope you will have no cause for concern during your holiday, but guests remain responsible for looking after their own belongings. Please remember to secure any bicycles and try not to leave any valuable items out on display. We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to your belongings unless it is due to our negligence. Vehicles and possessions are left entirely at the risk of the guest.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Even though we’ll do all we can to ensure you have a great holiday, things can sometimes go wrong. We will always try and resolve any complaints at the earliest possible stage, so you can continue to enjoy your holiday with us. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your stay, please report the issue to Reception immediately, so we can try and put things right whilst you are still on park. If there is anything you would like to bring to our attention once your holiday is over, please reply to our follow-up email, which you will receive on your departure day. Our email address for any correspondence is: info@gatewayresort.co.uk

FACILITIES

For health and safety reasons some of our facilities have age and/or height restrictions. Please note for the safety of your children we have a one adult to two children ratio policy in our swimming pool. Occasionally we may need to close or withdraw certain facilities (e.g. for safety, maintenance or other reasons beyond our control).

ENTERTAINMENT

We will endeavour to provide the entertainment as advertised in your welcome pack and on our website. We reserve the right to alter or withdraw any events or programmed entertainment without prior notice.

CANCELLATIONS

Please note we do not offer refunds should you need to cancel your Pod break with us. However, if you let us know within 48 hours of your due arrival date, we will happily keep any money paid in credit for you to use on a different date (subject to availability) for up to one year.

OUR PROMISES

We want you to have a great time with us. So here are some promises we’ll make when we accept your booking. And because it’s a two-way street, you’ll also be making promises to us when you book.

Our promises to you:

  • We will endeavour to give you and the other people in your party a great holiday.
  • We will endeavour to give you the holiday we’ve described on our website and in our agreement.
  • We will endeavour to do everything we can to prevent things going wrong.

Your promises to us:

  • You’ll look after our accommodation and facilities so that other people can enjoy them after you. And if you cause any damage, you’ll tell our Reception Team straight away, so we can sort it out.
  • You won’t spoil things for other guests by being loud or antisocial.
  • You – and everyone who comes with you – promise not to break any of our terms and conditions or park rules. If you do, we’ll ask all of you to leave the park immediately. No ands, ifs or buts. And no refunds.
